October Giveaway!

I've been purging scrappy supplies out of my studio on a regular basis for the past several months and adding them to a big box in our basement. The goal has been to share them with friends and do an occasional giveaway on my blog. Well, here is giveaway #1. I've filled a large Priority Flat Rate box with Halloween and fall themed products. Some of the products are partially used, but lots of them are brand spankin' new! To enter, just answer this question in the comments section on this post: What was your all time favorite Halloween costume?

Only one entry per person please. You must live in the continental United States to enter. You have until Thursday, October 22nd at midnight to enter. I will randomly draw one winner and post the name here on Friday, October 23rd. The winner will have until Monday, October 26th to email me their info or a different winner will be randomly drawn.

The only costume I ever wore as a kid was a hand-me-down Barbie one...you know, the kind w/ the plastic mask? So when I finally celebrated Halloween again, I was an adult, dating my now-husband. We dressed in dr. Scrubs and carried a cooler labeled "human tissue" (it was toilet paper inside). So that was how I got to start celebrating Halloween again - my fave costume w / my now-hubby! Thanks for the chance to win your goodies!

Mine had to be my homemade polyester Witch costume, it was AWESOME! I loved to wear it when it wasn't halloween...my mom made it for me...I was so sad the day it didn't fit me anymore...

My favorite costume was just a scary face that my husband created with face paint with my eye totally covered & then a fake one falling out. It was shocking at the overwhelming response I got at how real he made it look. It was a lot of fun. Your work is amazing. Thanks for this chance.

My favorite costume was one of my sister's. She was a sophomore in college and dressed in a tight green tshirt and green leggings. Then she blew up tons of purple balloons and attached them all over her body. She also wore a headband with a stem and some leaves on it. It was absolutely ridiculous and super funny!

ooo how generous of you, i would love a box of new scrap goodies!! :)

My favorite costume that I ever had was a princess jasmine costume that my mom made for me in 3rd grade. :) It was the most extravagant costume that i've ever had and i think it meant even more to me since my mom made it! She made it a little too big as well, since in alaska the snow is about up to your waist once halloween comes around. everyone knows that if you want people to see your costume it has to be big enough to wear over your snow pants! :)

I think my favorite costume was a little Indian when I was about 6. All us girls were Indians and all the boys were Cowboys. We used to trick-or-treat with all our cousins, as it was my grandfather's birthday too. So we would go and collect candy and come back for a birthday party for my grandfather. Great Halloween Memories!!

My favorite costume is my witches hat. I like to wear it and sit outside in our driveway while the kids come by trick or treating. All my childhood costumes left me traumatized - Pink Care Bear, a clown with one of those tie-dye wigs.

My favorite costume was when I dressed up as a hippy in 8th grade. My mom had saved her bellbottoms from the 60s and let me wear them. I made a tie dye t-shirt and wore a fringed vest and drew peace signs on my cheeks with eyeliner.

My favorite costume was a ghost! As silly as it sounds, it was probably the adventure that went along with the entire evening. In college my friend belonged to a different sorority than me and we wanted to hang out together. So we went as a double headed ghost and said I was her friend from back home. We had so much fun!

My grandmother saved all of my mom's beautiful costumes from the 50s. One year I wore the dress of her bride costume and my mom bought me a plastic tiara and I was a princess.

One of my favorite memories was actually of my parents dressing up with us when we were children. I will NEVER forget my dad dressing up as a woman--too funny. I love that they participated in the fun!

our family never went all out on halloween - there was 6 of us kids and we just always had a blast dressing up with whatever we had around - whether it be my parent's old clothes or using our imagination with whatever we could find. i dont remember a specific costume, but i just remember all the fun we had dressing up silly.

My mother got creative one year, and made me a Raggedy Anne costume. She bought a rag/wringer mop (the kind the stores use to mop their floors), dyed it red and found some clothes and drew Raggedy's face on me. I think I was about 8. Sadly, no pics.
