Anhinga sweater
I recently finished this sweater using the Anhinga pattern from the Norah Gaughan Collection, Vol. 5 pattern booklet by Berroco. I used Fourth of July yarn from Briar Rose Fibers rather than Berroco Pure Merino which the pattern suggests. I love the fit and design of this sweater! The asymmetrical piece in front adds a unique and stylish twist, and the wool yarn makes it nice and warm, but without a lot of bulk.
I can't believe how much I'm knitting this fall. It had been a long time since I had completed a knitting project. I'm finally using up my large stash of yarn that has been sitting in our basement! Stay tuned for a fun sweater vest I'm currently working on. Oh, and I'm sporting my new hairdo in this photo. I decided to go shorter. Actually, Moya did also. I'll have to get some photos of us together to post.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Monday!

That is beautiful! I was telling the girls at my knitting shop about how pretty your vest was. This is just as neat! Your wardrobe has gotten two great additions this fall!

Hi Cindy. Just wanted to drop you a line to say hello. I have been a fan of your scrapbooking for quite some time, but when I checked back today I was so chuffed to see that you are a knitter as well! And my goodness do you knit beautifully!! I too have been scrapbooking since 2005, but in the last year or so have seriously been bitten by the knitting bug, and in the last month have started spinning my own yarn! This is also an awesome hobby! My question to you is, how do you find a balance to do all these things as well as being a good Mom & Wife? Would love to hear your answer to this, cause it is something I struggle with all the time!
