the Juror sweater

My latest hand knit creation is this sweater vest that I made for Elijah. The pattern is actually for a long sleeve sweater, but since the little bugger grows so fast, I thought a sleeveless number would fit him a little longer. I used "the juror" pattern from The Yarn Girls Guide to Knits for Older Kids. This is a great book filled with easy to knit patterns! Easy enough that you can actually finish the sweaters before your kids have outgrown them!

I used Lion Brand, Vanna's Choice yarn in Barley. The contrasting stripe was done with some leftover yarn that was in my stash, so I don't have the specifics on that for you.

I'm pretty happy with the way this vest turned out, and better yet, so is Elijah!

Thanks for stopping by! If you need me, I'll be watching the Winter Olympics and knitting. :)

Another awesome knit Cindy. It looks so good on! I knit a vest in similar colors for Jamie and I also love it when he wears it!
