AC Blog Hop!

Good morning! Welcome to stop number 4 on the American Crafts blog hop! Our challenge was to create a layout combining the new, summer 2011 collections.

Honestly, it was way more fun than challenging since AC collections combine so easily! Here's what I came up with for the blog hop challenge.

Supplies: 12x12 Cardstock Kraft (71464) - AC Cardstock, 12x12 Cardstock Cherry  (71026) - AC Cardstock, 12x12 Cardstock Peacock (71471) - AC Cardstock, Daisy's Diner Paper (35539) - Garden Cafe, Work In Progress Paper (35546) - Amy Tangerine, Is It Any Wonder Fabric Paper (35556) - Amy Tangerine, Wishing (42216) - Remarks, Good Times (42213) Remarks, Amy (42212) Remarks, Basic Chalkboard (42208)- Remarks, Spice (72016) - Delights, Spells (72015) - Delights, Elm Vanilla (53216) - Thickers, Nightfall (89409) - Ribbon, Garden Cafe (85564) - Elements, Nightfall (85561) - Elements, Baby Boy Mini Brads (85383) - Elements, Tropicals Mini Brads (85377) - Elements, Primaries (85375) - Elements, Dot Glue Runner (61721) - This to That

I love the fabric paper in the Amy Tangerine collection. Did you know that you can use a circle cutter on it to easily cut perfect circles?! I was afraid the small blade wouldn't cut through the fabric cleanly, but it did! I simply flipped the paper over (fabric-side down) and cut my little circle that you see here. Easy-peasy and a perfect circle accent!

I created my own little star accent to compliment the small Amy Tangerine star sticker. I simple punched a circle from the Work In Progress paper (blue) and added a star punched from Peacock cardstock, which matches the Amy Tangerine collection perfectly!

And aren't the little chalkboard labels, from the Night Fall collection, the bomb?! I do so love these. I added the letter "A" to this label using chalk. A white opaque pen would work great too.

I also wanted to mention that I swapped out the cute "Autumn" sticker on the gold Delights accent for the fun fabric heart sticker from the Amy Tangerine collection. I simply placed the "Autumn" sticker back on the carrier sheet to use later!

Now for a giveaway! I have this super cute set of Halloween stamps from the Nightfall collection to give away compliments of American Crafts. If you'd like a chance to win these stamps simply leave a comment on this post, along with your email address so I can contact you if you're the winner.

Only one entry per person please. You have until Thursday, September 22nd at midnight EST to enter. I will randomly draw one winner and post their name here on Friday, September 23rd.

Next stop on the blog hop: Corrie Jones

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by all 20 designer's blogs and then go back to the AC blog post for a chance to win two entire lines!

This has to be one of my favorite layouts I have ever seen! I adore the way you clustered the medallions at the bottom and the "A" you created with the chalk is very eye catching. Love it!

Love so many things about your layout - how you combined the different lines and even swapped out the embellie to make it your own, the color combo, the banner centered below the photo, and of course the photos. Love that plush angry bird. Do tell where I can get one of those. ;)
