Union Jack Tote

Moya has a friend who loves all things Union Jack.

Moya loves all things creative.

So, Moya decided to create a Union Jack tote for her friend's birthday. This is by no means an exact representation of the flag. I did find, after the fact, this great diagram of the Union Jack that would have helped tremendously.

We bought a tote from Hobby Lobby, used blue painter's tape to mask out the flag pattern, and flexible fabric paint. I had wanted to do a step-by-step tutorial, but I didn't get photos of the whole process because once I taught Moya how to go about creating it, she ran with it - and did a fabulous job!
