December Daily Album

2011. Yep, this is my 2011 December album. Why the lateness? Mainly, because I am just now finishing it up! I've had the thing put together for a while, except for two pages. Just two. Procrastination much? Uh-huh. Definitely. I really do enjoy making a December album - honest - but I planned on creating this in February of 2012 after CHA, and that is when I got really sick, so it's been a long process of making this little album. But I'm so glad that I did.

I have just one other December album - that one I actually created during December a few years ago. The kids love looking through it when I pull it out each year, which makes it totally worth the work of creating. It was that first album that made me realize trying to put it together in December is just not right for me. I much prefer working on mine after the fact (even if it takes me a couple of years!) For me, December is busy enough already - it's January and February, when I'm stuck inside and things are slow, that is the perfect time for an album project!

So, I'm all set to create my 2013 December album next month, in January, and I'll share that one with you next year during December. But as far as this December goes, I'll be posting my 2011 album.

This album was from the 2011 Ali Edwards/Studio Calico December Daily kit. I loved that kit! So many awesome papers, embellishments...and I love the album itself. The size is perfect, and I love the raw chipboard. Note: Here is the link to the 2013 kit.

I filled it pretty full. I actually had to remove some things so it would close better.

That tag is not only clipped, but glued to the spine of the album so that it stays put. I hope.

Yes, you guessed it! I have a definite start theme going on here. I do love to use stars in my scrapbooking. They are just the perfect accent...for just about anything.

I loved creating the star with twine. It took care of embellishing the cover, both front and back, at the same time! You gotta love efficiency! Well, you don't have to...but I do.

I'll be back tomorrow with more.

p.s. I didn't take notes on sources for items used, but I'll share what I know. Badge: Ormolu, Wood Veneer: Studio Calico, Clip: Fancy Pants Designs, Twine: Divine Twine, Album: Studio Calico.
