Art Journal Play

I have more birds to share, this time in my art journal.

I used layers of both fluid acrylics and watercolor, which actually presents a problem. Watercolor doesn't really work over acrylic. For the areas of acrylic that I wanted to layer with watercolor, I added a layer of Pam Carriker's, Mixed Media Adhesive first. While this works, I don't love the way watercolor reacts to it. I'm wondering, do any of you fellow artists know of another solution?

Happy Wednesday!

Hi! I love your birds. You could try adding clear gesso over your acrylics before adding watercolours. Clear gesso is gritty compared to normal gesso, so that will add some texture to your work as well.
