Week two is a little photo heavy, so I added a couple smaller page protectors between the 12x12 pages.
I added some blue spray ink to the polka dot patterned paper behind my "week 2" title - I wanted to soften the white polka dots. I cut the month "jan" with my Silhouette from a digi product by Ali Edwards - I love her handwriting - beautiful! You will see lots of it, in the way of digi products, throughout my album. I used sheet music patterned washi tape as the photo corner for my bottom left photo. Washi tape works great for photo corners! I've been using it a lot in my PL album.
I included a 6x12 pocket protector with 4x6 pockets. The postcard on top wasn't quite 6 inches wide, so I added a strip of washi tape next to it to fill the space. I simply added the tape right to the back of the photo behind the postcard.
I used my Silhouette again here to cut out "snow DAY." I backed it with some gray polka dot washi tape, which I stuck directly to the back of the photo behind the card. After applying the tape I colored over it with a sky blue pigment stick and then blended the pigment with a damp paint brush.
The reverse side of the 6x12 pocket protector. I had fun with the top photo, adding a translucent mini bag with a chipboard snowflake inside.
I really prefer writing along lines to keep my journaling nice and neat. Here, I hand-stitched lines with yellow thread.
Something fun that Elijah wrote at school. I included it in an 8 1/2x11 page protector.
The reverse side of the 8 1/2x11 page protector. I love going big with photos. I plan to do this throughout my album with photos that just need to be big. :) The heart is a wood veneer shape from Studio Calico that I colored with a Copic marker.
For the yellow and white photo corner, I wrapped ribbon around the corner of the photo rather than just cutting a triangle of ribbon as I did for week one. I think wrapping it works better for me. It stays in place better and there are no frayed edges.
Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for stopping by!

Chickin' crackers with hot chocolate. Wow. Yikes! SO jealous of REAL snow days. I miss those. In NJ, a snow day was a SNOW day. Here in NC, .5" ice means 4.5 snow days. ARGH! LOVE the stitched journal lines- will definitely be filching that idea from you.
The embroidery floss as the lines for journaling is beautiful. Pinned, for future reference. TFS
OH MY GOODNESS GIRL!!! Love this! And now you are getting me very excited to get started on mine. The UPS guy needs to hurry up and get here! My PL stuff should arrive Saturday and then I think I'll play all day with it. :-) And ... My Cameo comes some time next week. I finally ordered it. :-)
Great pages!
You caught one of the three snow storms we had for the whole winter, good job!
Wasn't this past winter crazy?!?!?
Love the use of the big photo with the rest of the pages.
