Backyard Garden: Our first harvest.

We harvested some bok choy today. Isn't it pretty?

I made this with it, Moo Goo Gai Pan. It was so good.

The tomatoes and peppers are growing quickly. We have lots of little cherry tomato clusters on our black cherry tomato plant now.

Our zucchini plant is starting to take up all the real estate we left for it in our 4' box. The leaves are huge! I hope it doesn't take over the entire box.

I'm not sure what's going on under the soil with the carrots, but the tops are really shooting up.

Our cucumber and green bean plants are growing well too. We seem to be doing pretty good as far as insects are concerned. I'm happy to see we do have several spiders taking residence in our box. I never thought I'd say that about spiders, but I'm hoping they help keep the plant eating bug population down. Photos taken June 21st.

Your garden is so great! I'm afraid to tell you, I predict the zucchini WILL take over the whole box...and more. We picked four squash off our plant today!
